My husband went to the pre-drywall meeting yesterday and he said it went very well. We have a closing date set for January 3!!! :D Electricity is done, the garage doors and front door have been installed, insulation was being put up while he was there, and the drywall is expected to go up next week. The PM said it will take about 8 days to put it all up. Our siding has been delivered and is sitting in the basement. By reading other blogs, I'm hoping it'll be put up while the drywall is being put up. The PM also said that there have been so many people going through the house that they need to lock the doors now for safety. Now we have to make an appointment to go see the inside of the house. :( And the flooring/cabinets are expected to be installed in about 3 weeks!! They said this is the time where everything slows down, but I feel like it's going fast. Our PM and his crew have been awesome and very professional through this whole process. We barely have anything to complain about.
Now for the pics:

Two more months
The plumbing and HVAC system were installed last week and this week electric should be done. Our pre drywall meeting is set for this Friday. We went to see the house this past weekend, but not too much is different. We did run into an issue with the basement bathroom rough in. We were under the impression that the rough in would have a wall and door just like a finished bathroom. But they actually don't make a door, just a straight wall. And they leave the rough in exposed to the storage space next to it. We're pretty annoyed because if we ever wanted to finish it, then we'd have to cut the wall to make a door frame and also build a wall to separate the bathroom from the storage area. I don't understand why they don't just do that now?... I also met the neighbors that are directly in the middle of the cul-de-sac. They seem very nice. And we got word that the rest of the lots on the cul-de-sac sold, so there's going to be a LOT more construction happening soon.
Where our future kitchen cabinets will be
Hall tub/shower installed
Our bathroom
Our closets
Shower basin installed
Waiting for the tub. I think those markings meant that they needed to cut the big hole open more.
Bonus Room
Not too fond of how close the neighbors are, but nothing we can do. At least they're nice! :)
The framing straight ahead is where we thought the door to the rough in was going to be. Notice there's no wall in between the rough in and the storage room?

Nothing can stop us now!
I went camping this weekend and decided to stop by the house on the way. They finished putting on the shingles on the roof and they are scheduled to put in plumbing and the HVAC system this week. I forgot to ask if they'll run electric this week as well, but that'll probably be next week. Since the roof is on, I'm assuming that they'll be able to get a lot more done in the home whether it's rain or shine...or eventually snow. 😉 The PM said this is the part where the building process seems to slow down because of all the little details they have to work on inside. He also said he believes that the pre-drywall meeting will happen in 2-3 weeks. My husband went to the post-framing walk through today, so I'm anxious to hear what he says.
I wasn't going to step all the way in, so I took pics from the garage. I ended up going in after and was too distracted to think about taking pics.

Looking in from the garage at part of the mudroom, powder room on the right, and office straight ahead.
A couple doors and our morning room door is behind those. The one on the left has a chip in it that you can't see, so I told my husband to bring it up to the PM.
Looking at the kitchen and morning room. It's so hard to envision my kitchen being finished!
So excited to see stairs! The dining room is on the left and the living room on the right. See the archway beams too?
Looking at both the living room and part of the kitchen.

The house in the center of the cul-de-sac has their basement walls up now. (Pictured left)
Windows are in!
Our house next to the neighbor's. Ours sits back a bit further. I'm so happy for them because their home is finally being framed. The house on the other side of them has also begun framing.

Are you sure that's our house?
My mom and her boyfriend surprised us and went out to the lot tonight. She sent me pics of the house and I'm just in shock to see how much they got done in 2 days! The second floor is done and the roof is on. Oh and the house is mainly "wrapped." She said they were still working when they stopped by at 6:30 pm, so they didn't go inside. I seriously thought they wouldn't have the roof on until at least Friday. Were going to try to make it out to the lot this weekend to see what other progress there will be.

Nice Weather = Progress!!!
We haven't gone out to the lot yet, but our PM called and gave us our weekly update. He said they got the basement plumbing and cement floor done, the 3 ft. moat filled back in on the outside of the house, and now they're working on framing the first floor. Apparently the wood floor has been laid on the first floor and the PM said he thinks the workers are going to get out there this weekend and put up the rest of the first floor framing. So exciting!
He did ask that if we visit the lot then to stay on the street and look. He said this is one of the most dangerous times to go up to the house and look around, so we're not going to take any risks. We'll probably wait to go out there until next weekend.
One more exciting thing we found out this past week... We're pregnant!!! So now we have two exciting things to plan for!
Edit 10/8/16:
We ended up going out to the lot today and as a shock to us, they're almost done framing the first floor!! I can't believe it has only been 16 days since they broke ground. We walked around the house, but we didn't go inside.
I feel bad for the neighbors because now their house is behind ours. Theirs should've been just about done framing by now, but it still hasn't been started. We saw that Ryan Homes fixed their cement and it looked like it was still drying when we stopped by. The lot to the right of us and across the cul-de-sac still haven't sold yet and it'll probably be a while since they're on big hills. But we did see that the lot in the middle of the cul-de-sac broke ground, so maybe we'll meet those neighbors soon as well.
Here's the pics from our trip today:
I was standing on one side of the property line and my husband was on the other. The yard is very wide and they're going to take the yard back a little further, so it'll be a bit bigger than this. Should be plenty of room for the kids to play, right?

Pulling up to the house. The driveway still seems SO long. I can't help but to keep wondering if they could've brought the house forward more so we could have more of a back yard.
Looking towards the porch, front door, and part of the garage.
Looking at the other half of the garage and into the mudroom/office/kitchen.

Moving right along
Our PM called yesterday and told us that the basement walls were up and the waterproofing was done. I was shocked because it rained a lot this week and I didn't think they'd be able to get anything accomplished. He said next week the pre-framing work is scheduled to be worked on. This includes basement plumbing, cement floors, and etc.
My mom and I went out and looked at the lot today. We met the neighbors whose house started being built a few days before ours. I was so relieved to know that they were young and had kids like us. Very nice people! Their lumber was sitting in the front yard, but I feel bad for them because they said when the workers were pouring the concrete flooring, it started to rain a ton. When the concrete dried/settled, it looked really weird and there were cracks. The PM tried to tell them that they could do something to cover it, but they're making them dig up the concrete and do it over. I don't blame them at all. We're all spending a lot of money, so we expect quality work. Don't let Ryan Homes talk you into ANYTHING you're not comfortable with. But we're really hoping that the neighbors setback doesn't set our house back since we're basically neck and neck. This weeks weather is supposed to be really nice, so we'll see how it goes.
We also bought our refrigerator from Lowes today. They're having a great sale on appliances and our fridge was 40% off! We have it set to deliver in December, but Lowes allows you to set the date back further if needed when the time comes.
Here's our lot from today:
Backyard (still worried about it being too small)
Panoramic view of the whole thing
Standing in the "garage" looking at the mud room/office/kitchen
Looking at the morning room and where the stairs will eventually be
Dining room/family room
Looking at the lot from the curb. The garage is on the right side.
